Welcome! My name is Kaelyn Bess, I am the proud president of Bishop McNamara Catholic School and I serve as the principal for the Bishop McNamara Catholic School Kankakee Site.  Our Kankakee Site is home to our junior high which contains the 6th through 8th grade classes and our high school. 

The cornerstone of BMCS is our commitment to our Catholic faith and academic excellence.  McNamara provides rigorous academic programs for all students and we have a dedicated staff that is committed to meeting students’ needs while challenging them to achieve their goals.

Bishop McNamara provides students with countless opportunities outside of the classroom including the house system, christian service activities, extracurricular activities and athletics.  At BMCS, we are committed to helping our students see their full potential spiritually, morally, and intellectually. 

McNamara is home not just to me, but my children as well.  I am honored to have all three of my children enrolled at Bishop McNamara.  As a parent, I am certain that McNamara provides a safe, Catholic-centered educational environment that is preparing them to be successful members of our community.  

I am excited to welcome you and your family to see what it means to “be Irish” by coming in to tour our school or sign up for an “Irish for a Day” student shadowing day.  There are great things happening throughout Bishop McNamara Catholic School and we would love for you to be a part of our McNamara family.
