Nothing is better than hearing from our amazing students. We asked junior, Reagan Kaner, about her favorite traditions and memories of High School so far.
"My name is Reagan Kaner, and I'm a junior here at Bishop McNamara. I am extremely grateful to attend this school and wouldn't have it any other way. There really isn't anything like the family and tradition this school provides. My personal favorite tradition is Homecoming Week. The bonfire, parade, football game, and Homecoming dance are substantial reminders of the years of tradition our students and staff carry on. Some of my favorite memories from high school were made during Homecoming Week, specifically memories involving my Poms team. I can't wait to see what junior year holds, and I am forever proud to be Irish."

Who will join us this Friday!?

From their first Mass as BMCS High School students to their Baccalaureate Mass, the tradition of the bagpipes is a special one. A bagpipe player leads our new students into the first Mass of the year, and comes back only to lead the new graduates out of their last Mass as BMCS students.
It's the sentimental traditions, like these, that make BMCS a truly special place.

Dana Berg, who is in her 9th year as principal in the BMCS system and also a long-time BMCS parent, gave us some insight on what makes a new school year so special. What are you most excited for as we enter in this new school year?

Bishop McNamara Catholic School prides itself on providing a faith-based educational atmosphere. Through regular celebrations of Mass, daily religion classes, and opportunities to live the faith through servant leadership; Bishop McNamara is truly one of a kind.

On Monday, we were blessed to host Chad Busick from the Jon Gordon speaking team! He first lead a workshop with all of our coaches on "The Power of Positive Leadership". Chad also spoke with our Junior High and High School students on the Energy Bus and rounded out his BMCS tour with the Power of Positive Leadership for our Faculty and Staff.
Thank you Chad, and thank you Aaron Hamilton for leading these amazing sessions.

And we're off! Bishop McNamara Catholic School has had an AMAZING first week of school! We are off to a great start and can't wait to see what else is in store this school year.

Parents! Be sure to make plans NOW to join us for Mini Schedule Night at the Jr. High and High School levels, and Parent Preview Night at the Grade School levels. These evenings will be important to learn valuable information, as well as see the classrooms and meet the teachers!

Our small school environment allows for personal connections and peer mentorship relationships to form. Today, we welcomed our first Irish for a Day student, pictured here with a senior. We are so excited to hit the ground running and welcome all our new students this year!

We hope you will join us TOMORROW for our annual Fall Athletic Preview! The festivities will begin with the Alumni Mass in the New Chapel at 4:30 PM!

Bishop McNamara Catholic School would not be what it is today without the generous support we receive from our donors. We are so grateful for all the support we have received this past fiscal year. We can do so much more because of YOU, so, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Congratulations to this year's new Kazma Scholars. We recently celebrated them and their families at the Kazma Scholar Mass. Thank you also to the Kazma family, for their continued support of Catholic Education.
